Who We Are:
A Better Perspective® has brought together masterful international Coaches and people with unique life experiences to collaborate and create coaching models and training techniques in support of Coaches, Coaching Clients, and coaching worldwide.
Humans have immeasurable resources of energy, resilience, wisdom, and ability waiting to be set in motion. We can get to where we want to be by having a Coach who helps us utilize our resources to facilitate change and realize our potential and inner strength, no matter what the circumstances
Our goal is to create the tools, ideas, and policies to facilitate this process by providing insight, information, and inspiration to all Coaches so that we can implement the coaching model to all aspects of life, worldwide.

Our Team:
Donna Karlin (team lead) ― CEC, Diplomate IABMCP, Founder and Principal of A Better Perspective® has pioneered the specialized practice of Shadow Coaching® with senior organizational leaders in the political realm, public and private sectors. Donna uses an 'inside out' approach, utilizing the innate skills, knowledge and creativity of those she works with to focus on individual and organizational excellence. Donna is founder of The School of Shadow Coaching®, an International Coach Federation Approved Advanced Coach Training. She is past President and current Dean of the International Consortium for Coaching in Organizations, a SupporTED coach, a member of the team that coaches the TED Fellows, an Associate with Strategic Red Team Consulting ,and a communications and team dynamics advisor for INSPIRIT International Communications, Brussels, Belgium. Donna is certified in Organizational Psychology with a focus in Executive Coaching by The Professional School of Psychology and has been certified by the International Academy of Behavioral Medicine, Counseling and Psychotherapy as a Diplomate in Professional Coaching.
John B. Lazar, MA, MCC, NCOC™, has been a performance consultant and coach since 1983, including seventeen years as an executive coach to CEOs, executives, and senior managers through his company John B. Lazar & Associates, Inc. He works with individual leaders and their teams to produce socially and emotionally intelligent leadership and management, breakthrough results, and business success. He consults to organizations on issues of leadership, management, communications, team alignment, culture-strategy fit, and performance improvement. John has a master’s degree in clinical psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is Past President of the International Consortium for Coaching in Organizations and a current SupporTED coach. He has been certified as a Master Coach by the International Coach Federation (ICF) since 1999.
Susan R. Meyer, Ed.D; President Susan R. Meyer Coaching and Consulting Dr. Meyer does personal and executive coaching and especially enjoys working with women on their way up or on to their next new thing. Dr Meyer has a passion for empowering her clients to break through barriers in life and at work to achieve unparalleled success. She has more than 20 years experience in government, not-for-profit, social service, educational and corporate settings. She is an IAC Certified Coach with a doctorate in Adult Learning and Leadership and masters degrees in counselling and educational psychology.
Ralph Mercer, Special Projects CWO, Canadian Defence Academy is involved in creating the vision, and collaborating in the development of an education architecture to support a modern and integrated professional development system for non-commissioned members (NCMs) in the Canadian Forces. He is defining the professional development for approximately 50,000 NCMs along three lines of operations. Ralph is working with academic advisors to deliver a professional military education by partnering with academic institutions to build self development pathways and certify occupations with their civilian counterparts.
Ralph is a partner in the Social Media for Military alliance that assists, coaches and offers training to military influence activity personnel and other agencies in deploying social media platforms and tools to support operations. A public speaker, mentor, and advocate for the use of emergent technologies to accelerate organizational learning and collaboration, Ralph speaks regularly at events for the Public Servants and other professional groups on digital leadership, collaboration and the effects of using Social Media within organization hierarchies.
